Would you consider yourself a joyful person?
Do you have a story of something meaningful that God has done in your life?
We would love to have you participate in this project.
Your participation means that others will receive inspiration and hope through your story.
Here's one remark from a past gallery showing of this project...
"I haven't believed in God in a long time, but these stories are giving me hope. I'm thinking I might check out church again."
Regarding one specific joy-infused portrait, another lady replied,
"If I had that portrait on my wall, I would never be depressed again!"
Imagine what your story could do!
What does it look like to participate?
This project relies on two parts.
1: Your Joyful Portrait
2: Your Written Testimony
Start below by signing up for the next scheduled portrait session day. Some photo consent information will be asked of you, and a follow up email will confirm details and give further instructions.
Once your appointment is confirmed, you will also receive an email with tips and insight on how to pick the right story, and craft it well!

What should I wear?
Please bring at least two jackets or outer layers of clothing. Images will be captured above the waist, and will be produced in black and white.
Outer layers of clothing should...
- not be white
- not have patterns or fine details
Do I get a copy of my portrait?
As a way of saying thank you for being a part of this project, we would love to give you a copy of the final image that is chosen.
The image will be made available once your written testimony has been submitted and editing has been complete.
After your portrait session, you will begin working on a written testimony to accompany your portrait. Additional testimony resources will be given on the day of your shoot.
